A catch-all feature that is enabled for a specific email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. In other words, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any mistyped address under the exact same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial if you run some company, for example. Since you may start receiving junk messages, you can use the catch-all option with email filters in order to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting
If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any email mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel includes quite a few features, but it is really easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be listed in this section alphabetically and you will simply have to click the "Catch-all" button for the specific email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes one more click on the same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all option can be activated without difficulty in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve created using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll see a mini symbol conveniently located right next to each one of them. With just one click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate the feature through the contextual menu that will come into view. In case any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will inform you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
