.NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered 3rd-level domains remained online.

Through our firm, you can reserve your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to correct the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our company if you receive its EPP transfer code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no special restrictions on who can register a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the concept behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.

The .NAME top-level domain name extension is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost.
